It supports boaters, anglers, kayakers, shoreline anglers, and coastal visitors using the website's source-labeled tools.
How these guides are prepared
The September 15, 2026 expansion was prepared with AI-assisted drafting and source checks against relevant NOAA, National Weather Service, Open-Meteo, and other linked primary references. The editorial byline identifies the Outgoing Tide guide team as the publishing group; it is not a claim that a named captain, scientist, or licensed professional has certified the material. No independent professional review is claimed.
Our review process checks the question a guide answers, the distinction between data and interpretation, consistency with the source product, internal links, and whether examples are labeled. Sources support concepts and product definitions; the practical examples are original illustrations of a planning process. They are not copied provider forecasts or records of actual trips.
What we do not claim
We do not manufacture catches, testimonials, local photographs, professional biographies, current measurements, or field observations. A report can identify a factual error, unclear wording, stale source link, or mismatch between a panel and its source. Corrections should be verified against the relevant source before changing the explanation or display. A support report is not an emergency channel; consult official warnings and local authorities for immediate conditions.
Advertising and editorial decisions
Website advertising requests are paused while advertising consent is configured and verified. Optional analytics requires an explicit choice, changeable through Privacy choices in the footer. Scrolling or using a tool is not consent. No ad units have been added to guides, contact, legal or error pages. App-download badges link to our own product.
